Lush’s Sleek, Chic, Shine hair products really deliver the goods.

I always find Lush products to be wonderful – the scent, the results and the ethos behind the brand tick all the boxes for me, so I was chuffed to try their Sleek, Chic, Shine hair product collection recently. The shampoo and conditioner bars are particular favourites due to the ‘no bottle’ aspect; it really does make me cringe every time I have to pop more plastic into the recycle bin. With these products all you need is a good old tin or case to keep them dry and you can feel good about not adding to a world that is overloaded with plastic.

The highlights from the hair range inlcude the classic Jason And The Argan Oil rose-jam scented shampoo bar, which not only imparts a delicious long lasting fragrance to your locks, but also leaves my hair feeling soft and silky, and looking shiny thanks to the argan oil rich formula. It cleanses so easily and thoroughly and leaves my hair looking and feeling amazing so it gets rave reviews from moi.

I also tried Jungle Solid Conditioner, which has been recently revamped. The formula is a cocoa butter base with figs, kumquats and passionfruits to add shine. To apply I simply work the bar between wet hands to moisten it before applying it in stroked through wet hair. A little goes a long way so this product is likely to last for yonks too! The scent is INCREDIBLE and really lasts for a long time in the hair as well as making the hair soft and easy to brush or comb.

New to the range is Sunny Day Anti-Static Hair Detangler, which contains honey and fresh lemon juice to counter the static charge of frizziness and help keep your locks smooth and glossy for longer. I like this product, although it’s not my favourite Lush scent, I do like misting a long-lasting fragrance through my hair – it feels very decadent. It works best if it is brushed in and really helps to keep my fine hair smoother and more polished looking.
