MAC Good Luck Trolls Collection is bold and beautiful fun…

MAC Good Luck Trolls Collection

80s kids like me will fondly recall the wild-haired Troll dolls of our youth, with their rainbow tufts, bejeweled bellies and lucky charms and now we can relive our youth with M·A·C’s Good Luck Trolls collection, a range of crazy-hued cosmetics that are a great reminder that makeup should be fun.

While I do feel my age puts me in the ‘don’t go too crazy with colour’ segment of society, products can always be adapted and used in a toned down way. The light, cool bubblegum pink of Saint Germain Lipglass, $42 can be applied as a thick lacquer for 60s chic, or simply dabbed in the centre of the lips and blended (with or without lippie) for a more dramatic pout. Silly Vanilly Eye Shadow, $42 is a gorgeous white satin shade with a super fine silver  shimmer to open up and brighten the eye. But hands down, my favourite product in the collection is Beauty Powder in Glow Rida, $55, a light tan powder with super fine gold reflects, which is ideal as a finishing touch to add a dash of highlighting shimmer and glamour. It’s stunning by day on a casual face or by night when you’ve done the full shebang with contour and blush. And of course, if you want to go really wild there are Chromacraze Hair Colour Sprays, $58 in cobalt blue and bubblegum pink (perfect for blondes that want to have more fun) as well as a stunning jewel toned Fushia Fine Glitter, $52. If I were ten years younger, I’d do a full ‘Jem and the Holograms’ look, but then, I probably wouldn’t know who Jem was. 😉 Told you I was an 80s kid.

It’s in stores now, so go take a look and dare to have some fun!

Another new collection to keep your eye out for is Blue Nectar, which features a range of bright lipsticks and plump enhancing Plushglass glosses. I’ve fallen pretty hard for Invite Intrigue, $40 a cool fushia in a matte shade that really makes the lips pop. And MAC has also launched its own cushion compact foundation as part of the Lightful C range. It has SPF 50 and is getting rave reviews for its natural, yet thorough coverage, light-as-air-feel and it’s long lasting durability.

While I am blessed (and admittedly rather spoiled!) to receive many beauty products for review purposes, I will always disclose IF a company has paid for sponsored content. I choose to feature products that I am genuinely excited about and think that you will enjoy. Because I’m a girlie girl and I could talk about this stuff for hours.
