I first got in touch with Brianne of Sorbet Sensational Solid Cosmetics many moons ago in a former life as an online magazine editor. I loved that she was a young woman with a passion for natural, healthy skin care and was creating her very own range of multi-tasking and low maintenance products. So I caught up with her to find out how she was going and what products she can’t live without. Check out her site Sorbet Cosmetics – I can vouch for her solid shampoos, they are truly fantastic.
What products do you use every day?
Not a lot really; I’m too lazy and like to keep things simple. I exfoliate with our Gingersnap facial bar, moisturise with our Saving Face serum and use a tinted moisturiser I have made from mineral makeup and a cream I make myself on occasion. I also LOVE benefit’s new ‘They’re Real’ mascara – I never leave the house without it.
Do you have a skin care regimen with one range or do you mix up your products?
I tend to stick with our products. I do really love Living Nature products when I feel like using a more conventional liquid cleanser, but otherwise I stick to Sorbet bars.
What products do you pack for a weekend away?
Just one! I take St. Clements which is our shampoo bar for oily hair. You can shave with it, wash your face & body with it and of course have silky smooth hair. Oh… and mascara.
The products you keep in your handbag?
Just one – Hurraw! lip balm in black cherry. Best lip balms around.
Do you have any holy grail products?
Most already mentioned- Hurraw balms, Benefit mascara, Saving Face Serum & St. Clements. But now we’re about to release the world’s first solid self tanning bar called Gorgeous, so that definitely makes the list. I’m Manx, so almost transparent pale and Gorgeous adds the perfect amount of colour with no streaking. And it’s easy to use, which is good as I am tanning impaired!
