Practical products don’t always excite me and rarely feature on this blog with the same sycophantic attention that I devote to mascaras and skin care. BUT… If you haven’t tried it, get your butt to a store right now and buy it because the Maybelline New York Express Remover, $10 is one of those life changing products that you wish you had invented. It is seriously that cool.
To be perfectly honest I rarely wear nail polish because it is too much effort to apply base coat, two colour coats and a protective top coat. I can’t sit still for that long! I often just apply one coat which I rub and chip immediately, due to aforementioned inability to sit still for 10 minutes. Then I usually just wear colour for a day or two and then take it off because it doesn’t look pretty anymore. But removing polish is often almost as much of a pain in the you-know-what as applying it. You know the drill, just when you’re ready to remove it you realise you just used your very last cleansing pad to remove your eye makeup and now you’re using a paper towel from the kitchen to try to remove your polish and it’s using half a bottle of remover per nail. Mega annoying huh?
Well, forget all those remover hassles… This product makes seriously light work of nail polish removal. You simply dip your fingernail in the pot, swirl it for a couple of seconds and the acetone-free formula removes all polish. IT IS GENIUS. Now if they can just think of a way to remove toenail polish too that would be great. Because I did try to squeeze my tow in the tub and it wasn’t going to happen. 😉
