I’m always up for a beauty bargain and love multi-tasking products and things that cost $20 or less.
I ran out of dry shampoo recently and not wanting to spend $30 on a new one, I popped into the supermarket to pick up some Johnson’s Baby Powder. There is a formula which is pure cornstarch, which is great as it’s all natural.
This one has aloe vera and vitamin e and feels deliciously soft in the hands. I sprinkle some onto my palm, rub them together and distribute through my roots for a fresh scented dry shampoo that absorbs oil and surprisingly, doesn’t leave my hair too dusty looking, despite the fact that I am quite dark. Blondes should have no trouble at all with this one. It has quite a strong scent, but it’s that scrummy ‘baby fresh’ smell, which I find softer and more pleasant than a lot of beauty products that seem to try to compete with my fragrance.
It’s also nice on ingrown hairs and to prevent chafing, but dry shampoo is how I mostly use it. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
For those interested, here’s the (delightfully short and simple!) ingredient list: Topical Starch (Cornstarch), Tricalcium Phosphate, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Fragrance
